YARIS successfully used by Guinean authorities

On Saturday 30 July, an operation to combat illegal fishing was successfully carried out by the Maritime Operations Centre (MOC) of the Maritime Prefecture of Guinea, using the YARIS platform. The operation resulted in the boarding and inspection of the offending vessel. Read more.
This operation, carried out from start to finish by the Guinean authorities, demonstrates the added value of the YARIS platform, which makes it possible to analyse the maritime situation in the early stages, to detect suspicious behaviour, and then to plan and carry out an operation, while at the same time collecting evidence to carry out the judicial investigation.

The new website is online
Since September 15, the GoGIN+ project has a modernised website, which highlights the project’s news and the maritime centres of the Yaounde Architecture, as well as the YARIS platform. The latter is explained in a didactic way, in the form of questions and answers. The site also presents the missions and history of the project, its team, and its primary partners, the Yaounde Architecture, the European Union and Expertise France.
The content is available in two of the languages spoken in the countries of the region, French and English. Some articles are also available in Portuguese and the translation into Portuguese and Spanish is directly accessible.
