Final versions of YARIS and TESS now available

July and August 2020 were months of achievements for GoGIN: the consortium led by Zertive for the set-up of the final versions of YARIS and TESS delivered the two systems on 31st August and 31st July, respectively. Promotional and training materials have been prepared to raise the awareness on the two platforms and boost the added value they bring to Yaoundé Architecture. In parallel, GoGIN has engaged in fruitful discussions with the regional organisations in coordination with local EUDs to prepare the transfer of ownership of the platforms and their deployment
A technical factsheet, available on the GoGIN website, gives an overview of the YARIS functionalities, highlighting the flexibility, the security and the interoperability of this unique platform. At the moment, even if the platform is not fully operational, all authorised centres can log in. After the upcoming train-the-trainer activities planned for November, the ICC, CRESMAO and CRESMAC will be the first centres to be fully equipped with the system. Multinational and/or national centres will then progressively follow once the personalised training sessions have taken place. Read more.
Other activities
Both systems have been constantly tested by a working group composed of 3 members of the GoGIN team, 2 members of the ICC staff, 2 team members of the two CRESMs, 1 person from the ARSTM/ISMI and 1 member of the PASSMAR team. The set-up of this working group aims to ensure a smooth development and interaction with the IT developers led by Edisoft (for TESS) and Zertive (for YARIS). During weekly virtual meetings, the working group reviewed the improvements achieved and the pending issues. In addition, the members of the working group started preparing a set of training material to be used during the forthcoming training sessions.
